Rita Chinda

Rita Chinda is currently in pursuit of an MSc in International Business and Development at the University of London's Birkbeck College. In addition to her academic pursuit, she is actively engaged in volunteer work and part-time roles. Currently, she is volunteering as an Online News Writer with the Universal Versatile Society, where she conducts weekly research and writes about news trends related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals with the goal of raising public awareness on SDGs. She also works as a job coach helping people with disabilities gain independence at their jobs in London.

Her professional journey varies from managing finances as an Accountant with the International Committee of the Red Cross in Maiduguri to streamlining operations as an Administrative Assistant with the North-East Humanitarian Innovation Hub in Yola, Nigeria. She also worked as a project assistant implementing projects funded by donors such as UNICEF, and EU in the same region.

With a diverse background in international development, finance, and project management, her career aspiration is to combine her skills, experiences, and passion to work at the intersection of business and sustainable global development. Rita envisions herself in a role where she can contribute to the creation and implementation of innovative solutions that address complex societal challenges, particularly in underprivileged regions.
