Q: Tell us a few things about your country, and also your life's story!

The Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal is a landlocked country in South Asia. A Himalayan state, Nepal has a diverse geography with eight of the world’s ten tallest mountain including Mount Everest, The highest point on Earth. Nepal has been named on top ‘Best Value Destination in 2017 by world’s leading travel guide Lonely Planet. I am an enthusiast and a true believer of hard work who believe giving the best of his ability. I am 25-year-old boy from Nepal, currently based in Kathmandu. Currently, I am pursuing Post Graduate study in Tribhuvan University. I was born and bred in a small town in the eastern part of Nepal from where I completed myschooling. During my college days i also got an opportunity to work as College President and conducted different seminars and workshops on several burning issues. Further I am also a freelance writer and presented numerous research papers at international conferences.

Q: What is your view of the world as it is today? And how do you define the concept of a better world?

Now in 21st century, every second is changing and human are also walking along with the technology. From developed countries to developing one, we live in the age of technology and also getting dependent to it. Technology is expensive expenditure of every family nowadays and adaption of it is related to economic radar. We know simple fact; rich people can or adopt more tech savvy lifestyle than poor one as they have smaller horizons of such expenses. And with the pace of time, adaption of technology or using tech devices is being matter of economic issue with unlimited horizon of expenditures.

But I wonder about the cons of technology which is affecting the behavior of parents. Home is the first school of the children but parents are driving their quality efforts in search of quality lifestyle with technology which indirectly is imposing materialistic. And it is truly not sending a right message to future generation. Young minds should not be molded thinking about the economic aspect of career and by heart thefirst class title of aim like doctor, engineer, lawyer, architects and so on. So we should develop belief in our self to overcome our failure and drove towards top successful career.

Q: What are some of the key challenges in your society?

At this juncture, Nepal is heading to right direction with election of local bodies, the Provincial Parliaments and Federal Lower House in a free and fair manner last year. Talking about the economic aspect, last week we have reports of Nepal’s per capita income set to top $1,000. It’s good news. Hopefully we leapfrog in days ahead.

But like other countries around the world, Nepalese society has to overcome challenges like underemployment and unemployment, girls trafficking, drug peddling, violence against the women and environmental pollution.

Q: As a young individual what are a few of the hurdles that you had to overcome up until today?

When we delve into history we can find that the decade-long civil war ended since the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement in November 2006. The nation has suffered for far too long in the wake of the so- called people war. This resulted to the poor education performance especially in mine home town and different rural areas. Similarly, poor internet facilities, lack of entrepreneurship and soft skills training has been the major bottleneck resulting to constraints knowledge.

Q: Why is the role of a mentor important for you?
